The day before the bulldozers entered Modelarnia. I felt that the bulldozer removing the building was also removing a part of me, and our shared history. I had to say goodbye, to close a chapter, to give something back.
For ten years this building in the former shipyard of Gdańsk fulfilled the function of an art space. One day prior to its demolition, privately and only in presence of a few casual eyewitnesses, I lie down there on the floor. I hug the ground with my whole body, my face, my hair, my arms, my stomach. Then I start to wallow myself through the dust, the glass and the debris. In silence.
